“When have you been most satisfied in your life?”
We like using some of these interview questions featured in this Inc.com article.
Most of these dig deeper and are a little bit more fun than the usual suspects such as “Tell me about yourself” and “What are your strengths and weaknesses?”.
Here are some of our favourites from the list.
No 2. When have you been most satisfied in your life?
We find that even if we love our job and are passionate about it, our answer may have nothing to do with it. And this is totally fine – this is a great question to uncover true values.
No 3. If you got hired, loved everything about this job, and were paid the salary you asked for, what kind of offer from another company would you consider?
No 4. Who is your role model, and why?
No 5. What things do you not like to do?
No 6. Tell me about a project or accomplishment that you consider to be the most significant in your career.
No 7. Discuss a specific accomplishment of yours in a previous position that indicates you will thrive in this position.
…And a good old What questions do you have for me? (or: What else do we need to talk about?).
We tend to ask No 1 and No 7 only once the role, company, team and culture have been thoroughly discussed and explored.
